Reach for the Stars
Welcome to the Reach for the Stars page of California State Columbiettes. Here, we highlight the process and significance of being chosen for an award within our organization. Discover how you can make a positive impact and be recognized for your dedication to service and community outreach.
The criteria for the "Reach for Stars" awards are:
- Any Columbiette in your auxiliary who is a member in good standing
(Dues are paid, and they are not suspended) - The Columbiette has shown exemplary service above and beyond
- Only 2 members can be nominated by an auxiliary, and the Reach for the Stars committee will review and decide.
- If the second nominee of the two qualifies for 4 of the 6 categories, this member may be awarded an Honorable Mention.
- If a nominee gets an Honorable Mention award, they can still be nominated in future years for the Reach for the Stars Award.
- A Columbiette can only win the Reach for the Star Award once
- More than one paragraph can be submitted. Each of the 6 categories
should be specified for the nominee. Examples are given on the application. Each Category, Date and description of the activity must be described. Activities can only be specified in one category, no duplicates.
The reasoning behind the last criterion is to motivate new members to reach for the Stars and to motivate those that have received an Honorable Mention for next year.
